3.Provide learners with opportunities to interact with the computer for getting help with the language in the text.

• ›   Interact with the computer in CALL reading materials selecting help from a menu to obtain grammar, meanings, and culture explanations, or respond to a question and receive feedback n the response.

• ›   When learners interact with computers as they click for help and respond to questions is the human computer version of interaction.

• ›   When learners interact with electronic texts by clicking for help with vocabulary, the likelihood of their remembering the words increases.

• ›  The more interaction, the more likely the learner is to acquire the language.

• ›   Many learners do not take advantage of CALL.

      What teachers can do

• › Look for Call reading activities that provide interaction with the text and the program.

• ›  Prompt learners to take advantage of the help and interactive activities that the computer provides.

•   Assign interactive activities such as comprehension questions that accompany the text.

• › Not all CALL reading programs provide good opportunities for interaction, but students can be encouraged to interact with the texts if the teachers uses them for additional classroom discussions and as the basis for writing activities.
